We need intelligent leader's that don't want to lead, but will do it the right way. And from what I've read on here, that sounds like us. Ofcourse, I would become power hungry so that discludes me unless you want an empire.

Fuck him.

Ron Paul is the only "top tier" republican candidate to support the Occupy protests.

Yes but only because he understands what the 1st amendment means, that says more about the other Republican nominees than it does Ron Paul. He's still good for Wall St and the 1%.

Horseshit, Adrian. I saw that spot. He specified "crony capitalism" which he defined as government contracts in order to take a shot at Perry.

The normal kind of steal-everything-that-isn't-nailed-down-and-fuck-the-poor kind of capitalism has his full support.

Actually he supports the 1% more because he'll bring down all of the government institutions that filter the abuses from big business to the 99%.
He'll also bring down enough public institutions that will force us to depend on the private sector - effectively forcing us to take whatever they want to give us.

That's Libertarianism. Tyranny by the private sector and the majority.
If today you can take a thing like evolution and make it a crime to teach in the public schools, tomorrow you can make it a crime to teach it in the private schools and next year you can make it a crime to teach it to the hustings or in the church. At the next session you may ban books and the newspapers...
Ignorance and fanaticism are ever busy and need feeding. Always feeding and gloating for more. Today it is the public school teachers; tomorrow the private. The next day the preachers and the lecturers, the magazines, the books, the newspapers. After a while, Your Honor, it is the setting of man against man and creed against creed until with flying banners and beating drums we are marching backward to the glorious ages of the sixteenth centry when bigots lighted fagots to burn the men who dared to bring any intelligence and enlightenment and culture to the human mind. ~Clarence Darrow, at the Scopes Monkey Trial, 1925

Politics is supposed to be the second-oldest profession. I have come to realize that it bears a very close resemblance to the first. ~Ronald Reagan
