Given our health care system, supported by the republibertarianeo-conazis the odds are that your plug will be pulled when some minimum wage orderly trips over it.

Otherwise, find me a big-titted nurse and she can pull my plug all day long.

Oh dear, here we go yet again:THERE IS NO SUCH THING as 'atheistic viewpoint' on ANY topic apart from the existence of god(s).

My views as a materialist, skeptic, secularist and a few other labels, who also happens to be an atheist:

As far as we know, brain dead=dead person. So we turn off any life support machines. All mainstream Christian churches accept this position as far as I know. Christians are NOT required to take 'heroic measures' to keep a loved one alive if there is virtually no hope of recovery.

I also support voluntary euthanasia for the terminally ill, in principle.

TANGENT: IT is also my position that organ donation should be the default position. IE that a person [or their parent/guardian] should be obliged to opt out,not in . Further, that the default position should not be able to be changed by relatives. I'm fed up with people dying for want of organs to transplant,it is unnecessary.

My personal viewpoint? Last time I went to the hospital, I told 'em DNR/Organ Donor. Wink

You're asking a tricky-assed moral question right there. Who's got the right to pull my plug? Any-fucking-body. Most people don't do the long term strategy. They be-bop through their lives until shit gets crucial and next of kin is called in to make moral choices. That should be avoided.

Agree totally there house!!Clap

And ditto is my opinion. Tiger
