Blasphemy II

You play it off like it's not an evil thought, but to keep "interference" out you'd pretty much have to stop any dealings with any country. Do you really want to lose whatever resources you get from the outside?
Isolationist? Certainly not. We are not going to close our borders to the outside world. We just want the west out of our internal affairs. We do not want to be goaded by the US, Russia, China, or any of the bullies of the world today, and divided, we are weak, but united, we are strong.
What kind of dealings are you talking about anyways?
Like, buying fighter jets? Keep them. We'll build our own.
Coca Cola? McDonalds? Armani? Cosmetics? Shitty pop culture? Or any of the fancy stuff like Iphones and Macbooks that the west is supposed to be providing our countries with?
Once we realize that all of those are simply nothing but trash that the west tells us to buy, having no practical, nor even a true, recreational value, we won't even have to cut off dealings, the people will simply desist from buying that sort of garbage.

There is nothing we could ever want from you, to be honest.
However, it seems like your countries take a lot of interest in our countries, and the ones around us.
And that is the extent of the interference I'd like to end in the lands of Turan.
Russia, America and China will not be interfering with our business anymore. They will not eye what is ours anymore. And we shall not tolerate spies, foreign agents, or any hotshot businesses and international corporations who come here to establish a monopoly.

All right, sugar.
Meanwhile, as long as there's nothing you could ever want from us, we'll keep our vaccines and our antibiotics, we'll keep our electronics that aren't just "toys" - you know, anything we design that might help in hospitals or schools or industry - and we'll keep our food surpluses that get shipped out of here, etc.

"The West" is not some evil conglomerate overlord. You guys feel smooshed because you can't be bothered to give up your old-fashioned hacks and join the 21st century. Deal with it.

He's reciting the embodiment of the shite that keeps the Muslims in 3rd to 2nd world status. There's a difference between pride in your heritage and thinking you're the best motherfuckers on earth.

At the moment, to paraphrase Doug Stanhope, that's like saying you're the prettiest waitress at Denny's - you might be considered the best, but you still got a lot of work to do. Get over yourself.

Vaccines and antibiotics? What do you take us for? Some backwater african country that you see on the news? We already produce our own medicine here, for some time. The last time we bought a "vaccine" from your country, it was for the swine flu, and they turned out to be completely useless. Like if your companies care so much about our health that they'd sell us quality medicine? We'll make our own, thank you.
Besides, we do not need your "food surplus", as we are already stocked with food, yet economic circumstances do not allow for that surplus to show yet. We have everything, and we need nothing that you could provide us with. And I'm fairly certain on that. Once we form Turan, we'll have oil, natural gas, uranium, and many other minerals readily available.
Not that I'm suggesting that we cut off trade, however, I'm saying that we're only as "dependant" on you as we'd want to be. If we strive to produce things of our own, instead of simply buying them from you, we'd do ourselves a great service in the long run.
That is what our founding fathers have tried to archieve. That is what Gandhi tried to archieve when he told the indians to burn british cloth.
That is what he tried to do when he conducted the salt march.
That is what our founding father tried to do when he commissioned that an airplane factory that produced Turkish planes be built, and that all resources on Turkish soil be nationalized, and used only by Turkish companies.

Well, I'd not say evil, however I'd say that the west is very, very untrustworthy. They cannot even trust eachother in that matter.
Neither do I. The west is also stricken with heavy paranoia. They are just like the soviet union, when Hitler remarked that he'd only have to blow and the whole construct would fall down. The construct of the west is corrupt, and it will fall soon enough.

I was not, as a matter of fact, but I actually dislike the current Ayetullah more than so the previous one, because this one is an Azerbaijani Turk, and he works for the Iranians, and is the tool of propaganda for the Iranians to keep the Turks of the country under control.
However, I was sincere that no spies, nor any agents would be tolerated in our country.

Mehmet doesn't hold a candle to a waitress at Denny's.

... at least a racist/bigoted waitress at Denny's knows how to keep her fucking mouth shut.

I don't care who you like or don't, or what the pros and cons of various Ayatollahs are.

I was really just mocking your absurd tone.

It this such an evil thought?

Yes it is evil.

Tribalism is one of the main causes of conflict in the world.

just look at Rawanda in the 90s.

The sooner people get rid of this stupid 'us and them' mentality the sooner the human race can grow up.

You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.

Tinkety Tonk and down with the Nazis.

If submitting to your authority, and your lax worldview will make me less of a bigot, I'd rather choose to be one. Besides, it's obvious how well it helps you.

Mehmet needs to take a course in economics.

Btw, darling - I don't mean you don't produce those things already. I mean that you don't get to share in any advances.

But hey, they put a wall around East Berlin. Go on. Try it out.

Because Turkish people are known as the richest on the planet.
