Where would you like to live?

RE: Where would you like to live?
I don't know.
Many places look good in photos but the place may only look like that one day a year.
In some interesting places western people are hated or seen as potential kidnap for profit opportunities.
I don't want to be jailed or flogged for partaking of weed or alcohol.
I don't want to be eaten, I don't want to think I might be about to be eaten.
I could get by with out other people but it's good to have a few others about so you're not the only food for predators.
Is that island Tom Hanks got stuck on still free?

Either NYC or Los Angeles. Really, any urban place where rednecks don't take up nearly 2/3 of the population.
I used to live in some urban places like Seattle(from 11/1992-9/1993) then Chicago (9/1993-4/2000). Now I live in a little podunk town and I miss the city life! Undecided
Don’t ask.

Got the almost perfect place for you Pudding.

Quote:Ny-Ålesund is a tiny settlement on the west coast of the island of Spitsbergen, Svalbard. Located at 78°55′N 11°56′E, Ny-Ålesund is by most measures the northernmost permanent settlement in the world (except for a few military bases). Founded in 1916 as a coal mining town, the town housed 400 people at its peak, until it was shut down in 1962 after an explosion killed 21 people.

Ny-Ålesund reopened in 1968 as a research base. Today owned and run by Kings Bay AS, the tiny town is home to 30-35 people year-round, but the population can swell to over 120 in the summer. Practically all inhabitants are scientists.

They might have an occasional polar bear wondering through though.

I don't, either. I tend to avoid the parties, relationships and anything may be social. I'm very comforting with lifestyle of aloneness.

Polar bears are animals whose existence pleases me as long as they are very very very far away.
