Not to mention that masturbation can lead to stroke... after stroke, after stroke, after stroke, after stroke...

I get bored extremely easy... but these few activities do help.

I could call it passion rather than obsession but I think it's more of an obsession since it seems to be taking over my life and making me rather inactive.

Do you to move to music?? Just move your body any old way and stretch some muscles. Have you gone out for a short walk yet?

To answer the OP pretty much as TSQ said. Seems we both share a very pragmatic attitude towards activity. Personally I hate "going out for a walk" unless there is some objective in mind... like checking up on the development of a park near us (New Housing Estate here)...it involves Plant ID and Landscaping... Night sky watching with a glass of wine is also a favourite as I have to move around to get views of the various constellations without spilling my drink! Big Grin

Light activity can often be enough to beat the blues...How's the weather there where you are?? Winter isn't it??

It's still winter. I also prefer to walk when there's an objective in mind.

I do move to music but it gets me pacing back and forth which is another one of my obsessive habits.

Then put in a few dance steps!! How many paces long is your living room? And how long is your pace?? 1Metre / yard?? Or more??

I can't dance and hence don't want to. Also my family don't want me pacing about because it can wear the carpet down and I think it also annoys them.

So?? My son wears out my tiles...big deal! How about just moving and stretching?? Works for me. ^_^

RE: Dealing with boredom
Try listening to music while doing things - it will help pass the time and keeps your brain from going in all different directions as you concentrate on both the music and your activity. I listen to music or podcasts all the time while digging in the dirt, or on walks (even ones where I'm specifically out there to try photography) or while I'm exercising. Eventually as you try a bunch of different things, you might find something you like besides music.

It's okay to really really really love music - I know a lot of people who do. But they combine it with the less pleasant parts of their life so they can get through things they DON'T enjoy and so they can keep up.
