Care to give me an example of a specific thing you have faith in, so I can relate somehow? I'm having trouble understanding your point.

Are you meaning we all have a belief in something as true based upon irrational belief.
Like being phobic of spiders?
I guess so, but the views expressed are not anti-irrationality, but anti-faith. Faith, and its slavemaster Religion, are a far cry from being scared of spiders.

No, what he's saying, is that he likes to say things without having anything specific in mind, without any evidence or justification, because he heard it once and it sounded good to him. Platitude. What do you have faith in WW?

Come on, dude. Faith is not irrational by default. It can be either be irrational or rational.

"Where there is evidence, no one speaks of 'faith'. We do not speak of faith that two and two are four or that the earth is round. We only speak of faith when we wish to substitute emotion for evidence."-Bertrand Russel.

Can I just point out that the Earth isn't "round" as round is 2D. Disappointed in Mr Russell there!
The Earth of course, is an oblate spheroid.

Martin Luther understood "faith" even if you religious twats do not.
Quote:Reason is the greatest enemy that faith has: it never comes to the aid of spiritual things, but--more frequently than not --struggles against the divine Word, treating with contempt all that emanates from God.
--Martin Luther.
