Apparently the police department is appealing the decision. I hope they lose and have to pay out more money.

How are cops responsible for this still walking around free? Anyone that should have been aware of his status as an inmate should be fired & then arrested for violating his civil rights under the color of authority. If that means the entire police department, then so be it. The neighboring counties & state police can take over temporarily.
