happy St Padraig's Day/ Equinox

RE: happy St Padraig's Day/ Equinox
That's one of those tunes you find a ton of covers for, I even have my own that I like to bluegrass up a little bit, speaking of things getting bluegrassed up-

I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

21 shots of sake, 1 shot of sambuka, 1 pint of coors, 1 double vodka and coke, ~9 cigarettes, 1 cigar. St Patricks Day = Success.

Indeed. Plus the attractive prospect of passing out in one's own vomit.

Sake has an alcohol content is between 9 to 16% and it is traditionally served warm,(122-131F) so the alcohol enters your bloodstream much faster than cold beer, with an alcohol content around 3-4% alcohol by volume. (but up to about 9%). Undiluted sake is around 20%,but is diluted to about 15% by adding water prior to bottling. The standard sake cup holds 180 ml and sake is sold in containers holding that amount.

Below is a formulas used in Australia to calculate standard drinks.

Quote:How are standard drinks calculated?

The formula for calculating standard drinks:

Volume of container in litres

X

% alcohol by volume (ml/100ml)

X

0.789*

=

The number of standard drinks

For example one stubbie (375ml) of full strength beer (5% alcohol by volume):

0.375

X

5

X

0.789*

=

1.5

Hey, all I know is that I survived 21 shots of sake over the course of an hour, plus vodka, plus beer, and I'm still able to type. I'm no longer an atheist, for I AM GOD.

I am thinking that 'God' would naturally HAVE to be atheist. Tongue
I am thinking it is just xtianity's way of trying to own a holiday like Equinox.

Same with passover meh

One reason I love the Irish is the music and roguishness that I have seen over the years in some of my friends. Cheers! Hope you all had a great day!!

'The Celts' sure know how to have a party... Big Grin

Really? If that is true, and you were not hospitalised or very ill, you have a serious problem my friend.

A recovering alcoholic, I know better than to argue with a drunk,so I'll say nothing more.

All that matters is whether its a bank/public holiday or not.

We Welsh aren't allowed to celebrate St David's Day proper as a public holiday, oh no, we're expected to find the will to work and celebrate at work *at the same time*. >.>

Damn you Tony Blair for blocking proposals to make it a proper holiday, you grinning little prick. >:C

Not a government public holiday here either (none of the Saint's days are) but it IS a PUB :p day.!
