Yesterday I saw a panel show about marriage in the US,from a feminist perspective.

In part they spoke of divorce. It seems the rates are the exact opposite to what you might expect: The highest rates are in the poorest states,such as the bible belt. Lowest are in the more affluent states such as new England.

So much for the Christian sanctity of marriage.
