It's still stealing. Also, I never suggested that I haven't downloaded stuff without paying for it, so I'm not sure where you got that idea. However, just because I may have downloaded something without paying for it, does not mean that it is somehow not stealing.
If you download something without paying for it, you are stealing.
Also, I don't download songs illegally; I pay Spotify a small monthly fee and get as many songs as I want.

Settle down. Don't take it personally or make it personal. He's stating fact. Whether it is your opinion that the facts he states are prudish or not is irrelevant. He didn't say whether he thought it was wrong. He just said it is stealing. He's technically right, no matter what excuses you make.

It's really not theft, it's potential money loss yes. If Ferrari gave you a $500,000 car for free, did you steal it? No, did they lose out on potential money? Yes. But even then we're talking about physical copies. Data is data and can be copied free of charge infinite times.
Whatever though, I can see me and Tibs are going to be best of friends.

Property law and copyright law are not exactly the same. Data is protected under copyright law.

Did Adobe give you Photoshop for free? If not, your entire analogy doesn't work. It's not your data to copy, ergo you are stealing their data when you copy it for free.
If I buy a copy of Harry Potter, and then type it out, word for word on my own computer, and then publish this data online for anyone to download for free, it is a crime. That's because the data that forms the works of Harry Potter is copyrighted to J K Rowling, and you cannot simply copy it and give it away, or sell it.
