I will. A lot of smart people here. I'm enjoying just lurking around reading people's thoughts on various topics. Better than my last forum where people just pit fictional characters against each other all day.

This is stupid

RE: Introduction!
Hmmm. What forum would that be, if you don't mind my asking?

Honestly, a lot of people on the internet can be considered fictional characters, even when they aren't noticeably fictional. You ever come across someone with Munchausen by Internet?

Lounge forums. Enough smart members to keep me there, but the dumb one outnumber them. I would almost believe they were fictional. It would make it less sad.

No, I've never encountered anyone with that condition. Why do you ask?

Oh, it's just the funnest/saddest/weirdest of all things fictional internet. I will never forget a woman I came across with it. It was absolute insanity. First few weeks was very, "Oh my, we are so sorry for you." However, when the women started posting on sock accounts saying she was her daughter and that she (the real member) was having a heart attack, then calling us cocksuckers when we were skeptical, it got pretty indescribable. Anyway, until you have seen that, nothing is crazy. Big Grin

Sounds very crazy. And sad that there are people with that kind of mental condition. And probably funny to look back on.

Seems like a sad condition, would hate to have it.

It is sad, but also easy to find loathesome. The thing about that condition is that people know they are lying and playing on the sympathies of other. I get genuinely concerned about some people I know online and I would hate to be played like that. Then again, I would hate for my life to be so miserable that I had to lie to seek the kind of recognition, comfort and solace that I need. There are no winners.

Hello. They say we hate what we don't understand. Maybe, in time, you will understand the smileys, and peace will wash over your being. It might even be pretty dang awesome.
