Good for you, kilic! I think travel is a great way to spend money. I hope you will travel to places unrelated to your heritage, so you will get a feel for the heritage of others. I'm very happy for you!

So they went and built on this land without finding out who owned it?

Anyway, Enjoy the freedom it has bought you and a bit of travel can'tbe a bad idea. I'm very envious But in a nice way

Current financial climate is a good time for a windfall!
Well, I guess that the visits I've been paying to my grand grand father's grave each year haven't been in vain. Maybe we'll have him moved to Ayvalık, near my grandfather.
Expect me friends!
Quote:Wow! That's awesome! Congrats and... I hate you a little bit right now...
But I sure love that grand grand father of mine.
I wish to do the same for the ones succeeding me, perhaps.
Leave them lands and possessions.

Just remember that the court smiled on you....not allah.

The court is only a means for the end, friend.
The actual hero here is my grand grand father, may he rest in peace.
If he didn't have bought that piece of land somewhere in İstinye, which is a rather nice place in Istanbul, at the coast, we wouldn't have had this welcoming monetary relief, although I could state that we weren't really bad off before, my parents and I am hard working people, and I think we did earn ourselves some relief from the whole business. Now my parents can retire early, and maybe go on to buy a yacht for themselves.
My father is really a great cook. I'm awaiting in anticipation the fish we will cook in the Agean after catching them with a bottle of raki waiting for us at the full moon light.

Thank you so much! I'll be sure to do that. On second thought, I might visit Europe once more and go to the places I haven't been to yet, like Scandinavia, or Ireland.
I'll definately go to north America too.

Congratulations, Mehmet! Tiger

Don't recommend spending it all in one blow... keep a security blanket. It'll keep your lady happy Smile

Well, I'm not married yet, but with this fortunate turn of events, I just might.
I want a house at the countryside, but that might not be for everyone.

Agreed.

Mehmet, you are now in the unique position to finance your own business, invest in opportunities or invest in your own education. Use it wisely.

Wait, shouldn't you use the money to raise your utopian society Turan™?

Well, spend it wisely, if possible. Big Grin
