Surely you of all people fr0d0 are aware that results do not verify causation.

I may need to clarify my point a bit better. While the opening post is being seen as an argument from ignorance I wasn't trying to exactly frame it in that way. The only point I was trying to make is that an argument has to be validated based on evidence not on simply pointing out holes in another persons worldview.
I do not think I have knowledge of whether or not there is such a thing as a God existing. I know that --->I CANNOT<--- disprove the existence of deity. Again since neither you Chad or you sexy welsh man (fr0d0) are fundamentalists I am not sure really where we agree or disagree. Also to the idea of me invalidating the atheist positionyou could say I invalidated gnostic atheism with my statement but I don't claim that position anyway.
With the example of the triangle/square my only point was proving that if one position can be invalidated it does not automatically prove the other one right unless additional evidence is introduced.
Proving that someone is wrong about something such as knowledge of a God doesn't prove he exists. I am again not saying that I think you can prove he does not exist. Although I do think that the typical portrayal of Yahweh in scripture can have a lot of doubt cast on it due to some inconsistencies that doesn't invalidate deity in of itself.
I am not really sure you Chad or Fr0d0 have done what I am talking about anyway. I opened this thread after watching someone go from defending/discussing the theistic position to simply asking atheists to account for all matter of things. My point by posting this was, I was hoping anyway, to try and reduce those trainwreck arguments that get no where like that.
I do not think you have to answer every supposed contradiction about scripture either. Again it also depends on what position you take as to what problems you would need to defend. Also there are questions that a theist could fairly answer, just like an atheist, with a "I don't know". I will admit though you mentioning the atheist doing the "fix all these contradictions issue" is something I most likely have been guilty of doing.
