I don't feel science and religion are the same discipline but there will always be those who try to make them be. Either that or they'll try to make them cancel each other out.

For example, just because a person is a lover of science doesn't mean they can't be religious (spiritual). And just because a person is religious (spiritual) shouldn't mean they should stop exploring the world in terms of scientific research.

Believe it or not but the two can work hand in hand.

Sure, science and satanism can also work hand in hand. I don't know why people can't see that.

Well my opinion is that, because religion is based on faith and science is based on evidence, and evidence and faith are incompatible because as I like to put it 'Faith has no supporting evidence for its claims.'; this means Science and Religion are incompatible. Just like Evolution and Creationism are incompatible. Realistically.

Well it actually can. You don't have to support it but it doesn't mean it can't. A Satan Worshipper can still be a scientist, a person who likes to experiment with chemicals and study astrology. Heck, in fact, maybe learning how to mix chemicals and follow the movement of the stars can help them practice their faith better.

Still doesn't show how a person can't be both.

Well when I said 'realisically' at the end.... of that post, I basically meant that you could say you believe in both....but that doesn't make them TRULY compatible...because they contradict each other...and science isn't usually compatible with contradictions; only religion is....

It can be someone's opinion that religion and science are compatible; but just because it's true for THEM doesn't mean it scientifically true...and if it isn't based on scientific evidence...it's not science, and if it's not science it's just faith... So science isn't scientifically compatible with religion....science is only religiously compatible with religion and science is based on evidence...never faith...and since religion is based on faith not science...and science is never based on faith..... SCIENCE AND RELIGION ARE REALISTICALLY INCOMPATIBLE. People can believe they're compatible...but that doesn't make them compatible. If you believe they're compatible but they're not...that's just a delusion disguised as compatibility...not compatibility.

Delusional response if ever.

I guess this is what happens when a person think only in terms of black and white. Because the world is only black and white, forget about the yellow man, the brown man, the red man, etc.

What's delusional about my response exactly? Can you explain please?

How am I only thinking in black and white?

I'm saying that there's both objectivity (black and white), AND subjectivity, which includes all the greys. (if we're thinking only in grey-scale).

I don't claim everything's black and white (objective)...however I also don't claim that it's all subjective...I think its both...

I mean just because something is subjectively true...that doesn't make it objectively true, and vice-versa...But objectivity still exists. Take gravity for instance.... if no-one believed gravity existed - but it did -... then it still exists; not subjectively, but objectively. The FACT OF gravity is black and white, the BELIEF IN gravity is not.
