"You miss the point of the post." What did I not understand? Did you read the post (it was an image with a message...that's it)? It singled out atheists as the sole receiver of said injustices. It never once mentioned Jew, Muslim, or nonbeliever. What part of that do YOU not understand?

The post did not say what you are claiming. What part of that do you not understand? It's like the poster "tried to clarify".

What does YOUR point have to do with MY STATEMENT? MY POST made no such claim. I simply asked for someone to name 5 atheists that were "martyred" or received said injustices by the Catholic church (since 11 of the 12 are related to the CC which is why I kept telling you that I'm not a Catholic) and I would return the favor with 10 Christians. My point was that far more Christians were killed by the CC than atheist (and apparently "you people" cannot even name any). You established a strawman, which did not refute my initial point.

Have you not seen the list of thousands of murders Christians have committed in the name of Christianity? Hell, we could just say "Holocaust", and you'd lose this argument.

It seems pretty meaningless to tally up who's killed the most people. Isn't the thread titled "atheists are intolerant"? Personally, I think the initial assertion suffers from the same problem as "Christians are intolerant" because we can't take specific instances of intolerance and apply them to the whole group. Perhaps a more meaningful argument would be "this/these atheists are intolerant"?

I would agree, but the bible mandates intolerance of many groups. Since all Christians believe in the bible (or they're not Christians), all Christians who have read, believe, and do not cherry pick the bible are intolerant.

Thus, they are not doing wrong in their capacity as atheists but their capacity as communists, fascists etc. What is to be considered the cause of their wrong-doing is determined by what they use to justify it. Catholic church used Christianity to justify their actions, but Pol Pot and Mao did not use their atheism as justification.

Whoa, back up. Pol Pot was a Buddhist. It doesn't matter given the context, but I dislike seeing incorrect information repeated.
