Oh, he'll say he was convinced women were using drugs and having sex in the bathroom or some bullshit. I'm pretty convinced this will somehow be the fault of the vaginas involved.

I agree, although it does say the police matched the office in the video to his office. That's pretty compelling evidence.

Why would he start the recording in his office? Why not assemble it in the bathroom?

Actually, that makes sense. The pastor wouldn't want to lurk in the women's bathroom for long - it'd increase his chances of getting caught. And this way, even if he was interrupted in one of his forays, he'd have an innocent excuse of simply changing the air-freshners. A dismantled air-freshner would've been much harder to explain. So, I guess the assembly had to be done in the office and the camera had to be turned on before the assembly. Further, he'd probably be downloading the videos form the memory sticks and onto a computer, to clear out the space for next set of recordings. He'd probably need a private space like his office to do that. It makes much more sense to carry all the air-freshners to the office, open them up, download the videos, clear the space, turn on the videos again, re-assemble and then simply hang them back in the bathrooms.


Alternate Theory: The pastor never actually did the changing of the air-freshners - he'd tell the janitor when to change them. It'd be kinda odd if the pastor of the church was doing menial chores like that. So, he assembles and prepares the air-freshener boxes is advance - with the camera turned on and tells the janitor to hang them in prescribed locations. Then, when he expects the memory to be full, he'd ask him to bring the boxes for a refill.
