I can see the legalization of polygamous marriage would have plenty of problem with benefits. Though I tend value love as something special between two persons. However thats just me

Do you support the legalisation of polyagmy and polyandry
|
for married men, i bet that they knew.. one wife is more than enough.. especially when they turn themselves into emo moods.. although ' trouble is a friend' but who really loves trouble that much? having one husband is enough to keep the wife bz either, who would want more husband? before we talk about polygamy or polyandry, marriage itself is a problem maker.. having more than one spouse brings u pleasure at first stage, heart attack at the next..

You are currently experiencing a lucky and very brief window of awareness, sandwiched in between two periods of timeless and utter nothingness. So why not make the most of it, and stop wasting your life away trying to convince other people that there is something else? The reality is obvious.
I think everything should be legal. Even adultery.
We can't judge others. If people get hurt by adultery they have to move on. It's life. (November 12, 2012 at 6:53 pm)Darkstar Wrote:(November 12, 2012 at 6:26 pm)Vincenzo "Vinny" G. They are no different than any other behavior, and from an evolutionary perspective, it would be irrational to treat murder and rape as special by forbidding them. It's simply unscientific. Whew, good thing that's handled by law and not the scientific method eh? Murder and rape are no more imaginary than your nose, though the value we attribute to them could easily be called a construct (most everything two people do can be called a social construct, of course).

Nihilism taken reducto absurdum. Interesting.
Anyway, OT, I don't see a problem with people having multiple spouses, just like others here, as long as they are consenting adults. Historically speaking, many countries have allowed the upper class at least to practice this, and have done fine. But I do think we are getting ahead of ourselves. Gay rights made a huge leap last week, but that fight isn't over.

Law must be governed by science and rationality, don't you think? What else do we appeal to when we make our laws? Religious values?
