Why would God even create the universe, and then create humans with a certain set of rules to follow, and those who don't follow the rules get burned and tortured for eternity instead of just creating Heaven with all the good souls who would have ended up there anyway? Why even bother with the complicated creation and eventual destruction of the universe, along with creating Satan and his demons and the eventual supposed battle of Armageddon between the forces of good and evil? If God's ultimate goal is to be surrounded by people who love and worship him for eternity, then why not just create them already in heaven and not mess with the universe, earth, hell, and have to kill billions of people for no good reason and then torture them for eternity?
I guess God doesn't think thinks through very well.

Because first off the god portrayed in the Bible is hateful and petty.
And secondly to say that a perfect being wants something is a contradiction in terms. If he has a want then he is in someway unfulfilled and too say a being is perfect would mean that he is fulfilled in everyway possible.

That's only your opinion, I disagree totally, now that we have expressed our opinions let's get on with the discussion.
Who said He wants, I said He wanted to necessarily a big difference. Who said God was unfulfilled, As ChadWooters said, God desired to share His love with others, it wasn't a want it was and is a gift.

Exactly, a want and a desire are the same thing they are synonymous terms . Your the one saying God is unfulfilled because he has a desire. Thus imperfect. Please explain how a perfect being, that is fully fulfilled as precondition of being perfect has unfulfilled desires?
