I can feel your anger

Wrong yet again, atheism has nothing to do with materialism. Did you know some atheists have spiritual beliefs? Yeah, that's very materialistic....
Atheism simply means without theism, the moment you add ANYTHING else to it, we're no longer talking about atheism.

I would hope most atheists use some form of rationale to reach their conclusion. Odd you claim they don't.

I'm being honest. You just don't like it.

Mainly because you claim atheism consists of saying I don't believe but not applying any perspective to say you don't believe.

Merely because someone draws a rational conclusion on one claim, does not mean they are rational about all things.

If it helps, I'm irrationally convinced all spiders are evil with poisonous bites even thou there are practically none like that in the UK.

People ARE irrational, atheists are people, ergo Atheists can be irrational, we're not robots, however we are not irrational about an unsubstantiated creator/god/deity claims in the same way most people are not irrational about the spiders in my house.

Didn't say atheists don't. People have their reasons for not believing, I have mine. It's just that materialism isn't a requirement to be an atheist. I could have spiritual beliefs and still be an atheist. Because 'atheist' means without 'theism', without belief in god. That's why there is an A in front of the word 'theism'. It means 'without'.

Now, please quote me where I claimed that atheists don't use some form of rationale/reason.

Atheism is just about the lack of belief in god. There is no application to it.
An atheist can give you a reason why they don't believe, however to be an atheist you don't have to be a materialist or anything. It simply means without belief. Why is this so hard for you to grasp?

You obviously don't know what atheism is.

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

It's because he's another one of those who try to redefine atheism. He won't quit unless we agree to 'his' definition of atheism.

Perhaps you understand my position, although everything you write indicates otherwise.
More smoke-screening.

Quote:There's nothing to dodge as I don't claim anything. I just don't dismiss as you do. I make no claims to know, so I do not claim either way. In the absence of proof you choose to side with the negative, despite being unable to propose any valid alternatives.

Propose any valid alternatives? You mean pull speculation out of my ass like xtards do. There are plenty of valid alternatives that are based on the best of what we know at this time. You are simply being obtuse.

Quote:It's a very odd position to take which makes no sense. Particualry as many are compelled to porpose 'natural' causes despite the absence of proof to justify this. It's too transparent for it to be an effective or worthwhile position.
Playing fast and loose with "proof" and evidence, I see.

Quote:How many times have I called people out on this proof which offers a 'natural' solution. So far, the best I've got is "go read a science book". I've read many, so will need direction to determine which scienctific book is the atheist's bible, so far I can only guess "The God Delusion", but this was just full of rant and wank.
You have gotten far better than that right here. You simply refuse to listen or acknowledge when you have.

I tried to warn you guys back around page 40.

There's an equally long thread on ravingatheists.com from a over a year ago that is equally as frustrating. He didn't get it then, he's no closer to getting it now.

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
