All that is needed to be an atheist is a lack of belief in god.
I quite like science.
I am giddy with excitement that they have found the Higgs Boson.
But whatever, love of science is not a requirement and why should it be.

As the others have said, you don't have to have an interest in science to lack belief in gods. You do, however, need the basics taught in school if you want to lack general ignorance in life.

Science, engineering, and technology tend to be great for money but the subjects put people to sleep at a party and are less social. Everyone who emphasized that atheism is merely a lack of belief in god(s) hit the bullseye.

Fuck superstitions.
Indeed. Thus: Fuck your religion, which is superstition.

Yeah. No room for your superstitions in science.
Of course, after your last tantrum here, any discussion from you concerning "moral values" will be a great joke for everyone.
Can't wait...

As the saying goes, "It takes all kinds... (to make a world)". It's actually somewhat interesting to find an atheist who doesn't wrap the aegis of science around them like a Republican draping herself in the flag.
(I recently was faulted by a humanist organizer for not being a generalist. Pffft. What. ever.)

Where there is no science. There is spread of dogmas and religions.
For this, science is essential.

Funny, I'm a-republican and yet I don't find myself inclined toward fundamentalism or homophobia.

Sorry for getting off topic. That's what I tend to do. >.< Anyways,I just wanted to let you guys know.I like learning about science, but not everything they say makes me think "Seems legit." all the time.Such as the atoms and molecules.I just think "It's just either a liquid, solid,or gas.I mean, atoms and molecules are not worth learning about.".I'm not even going to be in the science field.I'm either going to be a trucker or artist. What do you guys think?Am I the only atheist who doesn't like scientists,or am I not alone?Give me some comments on what you think.

What an odd thing for a Christian to say. IE belief without credible evidence= superstition.

What of the belief that the universe didn't come into existence 5 minutes ago with the appearance of age? Are you skeptical of this claim, or do you know of 'credible evidence' that it is true?
“The truth of our faith becomes a matter of ridicule among the infidels if any Catholic, not gifted with the necessary scientific learning, presents as dogma what scientific scrutiny shows to be false.”
