No I won't move on until the point is sorted out. That would not be very systematic would it? Where would we be if Einstein had just glossed over things like that.
Now you seem to be telling me there is some rule in english that I know nothing about, and it seems nor did Johnny Cash, that automatically means, that somebody who uses the phrase 'My sunshine' becomes a liar. If this is so could you explain? As once I know this new rule I will try not to repeat my mistake in future, if there is such a rule.

Can we at least all agree that the Olympics ingeneral is an economic buttfuck for England?
Thats really what matters in my opinion.

Oh, for the love of all that is prose! You know damn well no one owns the sunshine. "My sunshine" is a poetic way of saying a person is as essential to them as the sun.
This is a debate, not a terrible poetry contest. I would be so frustrated if I was the one trying to debate you. There is nothing more obnoxious than a person who argues off-topic points in order to play musical chairs with the points that are actually up for debate. If there were one thing I would say irritates me the most when discussing things in here, it is that.

That has already been agreed upon elsewhere and here, I'm sure. It's not all that matters if people were actually losing their jobs because of it. So, no.

If you can explain how that is relevant, I will eat my own hand. Of course, it has to be a coherent, literate explanation.

He thinks he'd stand a better chance at winning a terrible poetry contest. In which case allow me to utterly destroy this notion.
Its really quite tragic how Karl Pilkington is the answer to so many problems.
Anyway, the debate may now continue.

Words like; have, my, our, can be used to denote ownership, but it is also normal to use them to denote a relationship to, as in my grandmother, the person is not saying they own the grandmother, but they have a relationship to the grandmother. My job, their work, can signify the relationship to, not just an ownership of those tasks.
If you think that is coherent, please do not eat your hand.
PS thanks Padraic for giving me the hint in your post on this thread, that enabled me to answer the question in this way.

I called you a liar because you made a claim about people losing their jobs for the duration of the Olympics which turned out (after quite a bit of you failing to explain properly) to be completely untrue.
Let's get this straight; you said people already employed lost "their" jobs. I understand that "their" in this case can signify a relationship, but the fact is, there were no jobs that they can claim a valid relationship to. The jobs that they speak of were not theirs; they were arranged by a different company, and therefore they are not automatically entitled to them as they would be if Lords themselves were arranging them.
No Lords events means no jobs for Lords workers.
The Olympics was not a Lords event, so there were no jobs for Lords workers.
That doesn't mean the Olympics took jobs away from Lords workers; only Lords can take those jobs away.
