Mostly my point was that your idea that games cause this shit is absolute bullshit. There has been many studies into the idea and all came up showing that gaming has no link to real life violence.

People have famously been killing each other forever it kinda bugs me when people suddenly try to blame it on something other than the idiot that threw a tantrum brought a gun/knife along.

Anything on this earth is as lethal as you make it, friend. Just ask Riddick, hehehe.
And I just made a joke, nothing to take too serious. I myself play shootan games, perhaps not the sort of COD, but I used to play counterstrike and etc.
Timothy McVeigh proved that when he exploded a truck bomb in Oklahoma City made from diesel fuel and fertilizer.

If one is set into murdering one person, I guess laws regulating gun use wouldn't impact those cases, however, these shootings are indiscriminate killings, mostly in the mindset "If I'm going down, I'll take a bunch of these fuckers down with me", and in these cases gun regulation would have an effect. It may not stop all shootings, but its a deterrent.

Well, all at once, sure it's not really easy to bust in somewhere like the Moro juramentados and slay a bunch of people in a frenzied bloodlust. But if you are determined to kill a specific bunch of people, not like...say a person who has psychological problems to go on a killing spree that involves people that he/she doesn't know personally, it becomes a lot more easier, ambushing a person at night with a shank, or even a blunt weapon is not unheard of, well, eventually it'll be traced back to ya, but only after you commit the crimes...

Well, that being said, I believe that the US ought to be a little bit more strict on gun regulations maybe, but not because of such spree killings, but due to rising crime rates, and the easy accessibility of guns contributing to this.

Sounds like a workplace shooting, seems the guy planned on killing his boss and then shooting himself, but the security guard didn't let him pass so he shot the first person he saw, then committed suicide by cop.

I'm disturbed by two main things, the fact that this shooting is no more deadly then any shooting in any major American city in fact there was a major shooting in chicago that got zero news coverage. Yet this story is headline/breaking news why?..... because it was near the empire state building where "real people" could've gotten hurt.

Also, the fact that if this man was given proper unemployment insurance and welfare he wouldn't have given two flying fucks about losing his crappy retail job. I truly hope the guy who was killed was an asshole teabagger protesting for less gun control and less money for social programs like mental healthcare and welfare.

Don't you mean falling crime rates? Crime, particularly violent crime, has been on the decline in the US for two decades.

Well, it seems to be "declining", but not in comparison to the rise of the total population of the US.

What would there be to compare about the rise of our population and decline of our crime rate? The only thing you can take away from that is that not only is violent crime on the decline in the US, we've managed to achieve that concurrent with an increase in population (immigrants accounting for the majority of that btw).

I'll explain it this way. Say we have a village of 100 people, and 20 of them are criminals. Meaning, the crime rate is 20%. But in say, 20 years, the population of the village has grown to 500 and 50 of them are criminals, the crime rate is 10%, it has fallen, but the number of criminals have increased.

Fortunately, all are expected to survive.

All of the injuries were caused by the cops. The guy's gun jammed after he killed his boss.
