Oh, absolutely. With proper diagnosis, anesthetic, by an M.D. and with sterile tools.

Yeah, because there's nothing quite like baiting already stressed animals as a sport. Good times.

Never understood hooligans or the beauty in watching grown men get paid an insane amount just for running after a ball, but at least though the injuries might be some of the worst in the world of sport, they who practice it are fit.
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

ok, maybe these don't kill people, but they sure maim a few.

The difference is obvious, those either concern animals or consenting adults.

Exactly, Kayenneh. I am not WHOLLY against circumcision, but I AM wholly against it being done in a manner of "tradition," where it's done in an unsafe environment.

Mind you, they do not actually use anesthetic on infants; they are too young and even the weakest dosage can kill the infant, so they forego it. The procedure is done WITHOUT anesthetic; in other words, you ARE subjecting your baby son to an excruciating procedure in which he is fully conscious, aware, and feeling as his dick is mutilated in the name of an aesthetic detail that he did not choose. Worth it? No, no it is not, in my opinion. Unless it's a medical complication, though I have to admit I can't say as I have heard of instances where the foreskin ever caused a medical emergency...nor can I see how. Unless someone can enlighten me on that. But for the purposes of aesthetics, that should be up to the individual, when they're older, and can be put under anesthetic for the process, and also so that their genitals are more fully developed.

See, MY circumcision resulted in my losing 50% of the feeling in my wang (suspected years ago, confirmed by a doctor recently). I mean, I'm sure that's great for the women I sleep with because it means I don't hammer it out in five minutes but it really sucks for me because I don't really enjoy sex quite as much as other people. All because I had a circumcision I never wanted. And I will never be able to have that damage repaired. And I am not the only one; this is the case in one in every four circumcisions. It's basically "Well congratulations, your dick looks good, but...yeah, it won't be quite as receptive as before."

Just saying. It seems completely harmless to women but I would like to remind you of the injustice and fury YOU feel when you hear of women having their clits cut off in Islamic practices. It's not exactly the same, of course, it's specifically targeted to prevent women from enjoying sex, but in one out of every four circumcisions, it IS the equivalent result, even if not the intent.
