Negative reputation?
RE: Negative reputation?
I found enought satisfaction in simply writing my discontent and agressive material down in a post.

There is no lack of people here who have reverse turrets. (people who wherever they go, others simply cant resist shouting swearwords into their directions) I dont understand why I should give them "a negative point". It makes more sence to me to simply tell them that they suck.

I would neg rep the fuck out of godschild and DRich.

And I'd get wood doing it.
You are currently experiencing a lucky and very brief window of awareness, sandwiched in between two periods of timeless and utter nothingness. So why not make the most of it, and stop wasting your life away trying to convince other people that there is something else? The reality is obvious.

For me, it's usually enough that those deserving negative rep and neg kudos are recognised as such by their not attracting positive rep/kudos. If that makes sense outside my peculiar brain.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

I don't think this forum needs to reinstate the negative reputation system. The neutral is a bit idiotic in itself.
The negative reputation just gives those who are already negative a new weapon.

Reading the threads in this forum, and taking note of the attitudes atheists possess, the negativity speaks for itself.
Some of the most vile, immoral, trash talking, lowlife scum of the earth post in these forums. And they claim to be atheists.

I've browsed fundy xtian forums and there isn't the degree of hate there that there is amid atheists here.
When a group of people become unhinged and enter into a flame war against someone who has morals, the negative reputation option is redundant. The negative reputation those certain atheists here give this forum speaks on board and across the net.

Theists might be deluded, but the atheists that post in this forum are sociopathic.
If that's what holding faith in nothing creates in a human psyche, one is better served if they worship the floor, than to end up like certain posters in this forum.

So don't worry about needing a way to identify the trolls. Most everyone on this forum that claims they're an atheist, are!

You seem to have made quite a few sweeping generalisations and nasty accusations there yourself. Pot calling the kettle black, or what? You can't be expecting all atheists to be respectful and nicey-nicey either, because that is unrealistic.

The crap I read every day about real world atrrocities and injustices, caused by religious belief, absolutely makes my blood boil. I personally find it almost impossible to respect any theists.

Before making any more anti-atheist forum member rants, perhaps you should first establish your own credentials on here a little more. You are entitled to your view but I don't know enough about you yet for me to consider your opinion to be authoritative on accused members.

Furthermore, in my opinion, there is a high proportion of brilliant thinkers and arguers on this forum - people who I agree with and couldn't hope to get close to, in expressing what I want to convey.

Wow... well, Nobody, it seems you don't enjoy being here. I mean, your username is almost a self-fulfilling prophecy. I would say, with the most respect possible, our door is quite heavy, so you should walk through it ardently so as not to let it hit you in your abundant rear.

You should remember that an atheist is someone that doesn't believe in god(s). As to the rest is just a sweeping generalization insult, I smell butthurt.

Yeah, you prefer to hear a conforting lie to hear painfull truth, that's what i's wager. From my POV, you had some ruffling of feathers with other users. I prefer that people be in my face and argue than give me a pat in the back and walk away, what about you?

Imagine a negative rep or troll point system in place at AF. Now imagine members who don't break the rules, yet endeavor to accumulate negative rep points. Can you possibly imagine the frequency of bullshit grenades tossed into conversation for the sole purpose of earning negative rep?

Thinking

I envision that I'd have quite a number of 'troll points' simply for disagreeing with a large number of people here, even if I am agreeing with them at the same time.

Honestly, this system seems like an unnecessarily cruel way to discover which of our members are blind... but due to number of visually impaired forumgoers: it would end up being incredibly unwieldy.

They are not charismatic, therefore they are annoying, boring, or otherwise unpleasant enough to have not accumulated much reputation.

Were it otherwise, they would be drowning in positive rep (you'll note that every one of the top-rated members is charismatic to a significant degree?)
