Not surprising, really. He was clearly trying to have his cake(appear to have a change of heart towards tolerance) while eating it too(still fund anti-gay organizations).

Personal hatred does not give you the right to try and take away the livelihoods of anyone.

That is irrelevant. Wage is paid to a single person, regardless of their family situation. The jobs that people at Wal*Mart do are low-skilled; they do not merit a high wage. Financing poor families is the responsibility of local government, community, and charity.
