Much like the bullshit stories in the bible, there is no evidence for that, either. Exactly like the bible, it testifies to itself, which is, essentially, worthless.

There is no reference in Byzantine literature to any "Mohammad" and you'd think that they would have been pretty interested in developments there.

The koran is no more divinely inspired than the xtian drivel.

Evidence for a belief=rational, so lack of evidence=irrational. Faith=lack of evidence because if you had evidence you wouldn't need to have faith, so faith is irrational.

So if you wish, fine, choose irrationality. It's your (irrational) choice (to not make freely).

Probably because it's your opinion and nothing more than these ideas aren't sane in the first place. You aren't some know it all master of the universe who has all the answers. They read the Bible, they believe it. You probably haven't even read it

It's also common for people to be rational in most areas,but quite loopy in just one or more.EG I'm unable to talk rationally about the school I attended,as I was physically abused,over many years.

I've mentioned this a few times before on various forums, but it's worth repeating:

In context,most religious belief are both rational and sane,but mistaken. The logic tends to be inductive and VALID,but based on insufficient evidence.The inferences are therefore usually unsound,NOT absolutely wrong. [no one knows for a fact] . Religious beliefs become pathological when they become obsessive and lead to harming of self or others. Before that,imo, they're really only an irritation to the intolerant and intellectually arrogant. (I can be both)

The above is only my opinion,derived from my discipline (Cultural Anthropology) and my hobby (history) over a 30 year period.

I have asked this question to a lot of people. Why do we see tonnes of intellectuals (scientists, philosophers, doctors) who are all perfectly sane fall for ideas like birth without sex, paradise, angels, demons etc..... What are you all's view on this? Thank you

The reason why we see in tones of intellectual people, they all have differnet beliefs, and they have varing degrees of intelligence.

Scientists are thoroughly trained in science. Meaning they use

controlled methods, scientists collect observable evidence of natural or social phenomena, record measurable data relating to the observations, and analyze this information to construct theoretical explanations of how things work.

Philophers are people who

And I believe that all practitioners of medicine have to follow the hippocratic oath, meaning they do no harm.

I believe that birth without sex isn't possible for humans.
Paradise in fairy tales aren't real. But tropical islands are a paradise in and of itself.
Angels may or may not exists.
Demons aren't real.
I want to believe this but some people have inner demons that play tricks on their minds.
