I agree.

It's a dangerous precedent to set saying that if you don't like how your country is run it's fine to simply overthrow who's in charge. You could end up in a perpetual civil war.

It is a widely known and accepted fact that Al-Qaeda is helping the rebels and therefore I am disgusted with the whole Syria situation in general. Why are we arming Al-Qaeda in Syria when we are fighting 2 wars against them? Were either enemies or not, wish the government would make up their mind when they are taking so many of our rights away to prevent terrorism.

My bet would be Assad isn't ensuring the West get good trade deals on Syrian exports.

If he's removed and the country becomes democratic the West can ensure the elections are won by someone who will make sure the West get a good deal.

How would you propose a country go through a civil war? Killing is quite often a necessary part of deposing a leader. Should they sit down together in front of a campfire playing Eucher to see who gets what? These things are messy, but it can be very necessary to implement a regime change. There's a good chance that blood will be spilled.

By not going through a civil war. These rebel leaders engineered this conflict and resort to scare (as in they'll kill you if you don't side with them) to achieve their goals.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.

By far, officialy, so why not say that Isreal should invade? The Golan heights seems to be Isreal's "land" anway, right?

Quote:NO! Turkey defines itself as the Republic of Turkey, Iran defines itself as the Islamic Republic of Iran. Turkeys Head of State is a President, Irans head of state is a old backwards religious scholar-the ayatola who has the last word in whatever the goverment might propose and who is not elected - wich makes Iran a Theocracy
Iran sucks, but that doesn't make Turkey suck less........ Turkey spends $900 million per year for an office of a president of religous affairs..........

Quote:They abolished the death penalty to rise their chances to become EU member, and also put their courts under the survailance and juristiction european court for human rights.
They also reduced penalties for self defense, same way Suadi arabia has laws against honor killing but when some crazy sunni kills his daughter cuase allah told him she's demon and needs be stoned....the court always seems to let him go free....and he's always welcomed backed to the neighborhood with a big celebration for being a religous MARTYR
.
Quote:The muslim brotherhood actualy critzised Erdoan after his visit, because he proposed egypt to become secular
PROBABLY because the muslim bortherhood was offended...... that turkey's PM was accusing them of being religous radicals by TELLING THEM not to be islamic jihadists......... how would you feel if there was a political upheaval in Germany and the US leader came to Berlin and TOLD YOU not be nazi's just a good ole' feindly reminder everybody!

Quote:I dont get your point? are you saing only because they spread islamist fashism with weapons and bombs doesn`t mean that we have to stop them? i dont think your saying that but if yeah , well it`s nuts!
saudi arabia is a monarchy if you want to abolish said monarchy, then I would be all for it!.......

....... but you can't complain about the maggots running down your leg when your not even willing to acknowledge you have gaping open-wound

Quote:the alawites have clearly tried to break up aliences between sects and ethnicities. the kurds are currently more interested in authonomy in the nort than in the rest of the war, the alawite pose as the protectors of the christian minority, so yes - ethnical or and secticious conflict is possible.
the alwaites are a made up minority class that was chosen by foreigner's (mainly the french) to rule syria in their interests.

Kurds are just as bad they want to form their own seperate autonomous nation where eveyone is a kurd and you have to follow kurdish law and obey kurdish customs, just like those buddhist theocratic tibetans

Quote:egypt is not a multicultural country - syria is.
no one can actualy compare historic events since they are all unique.
But one can give examples of similar situations.
Youguslavia was a multicultural nation and when the ruling ethnicitie gradualy lost power it turned to ethnicaly cleansing all other minorities, just like the other ethnicities
egypt is a country of 82 million and a seemingly uncountable refugee population, there are more christians living in egypt right now, than libya has people

Quote:and the poles love us now so ....
lol....... glad to hear that!

Quote:Libera isn`t mayority muslim and Kazakhstan isn`t a democracy.
so whats your point?
you can't just change a law and make everything compliant with the UN and call it "change" Turkey wants to join all kinds of european groups, but it also has to appease the large part of their population who wants to for example: chop a theives hands off for stealing bread, or hang some child for commiting blasphemy, kind of of hard to explain to muslim extremists that they should stop killing their daughter's for losing their virginity (even in the case of rape) before marraige........because it will hurt their chances of joining the Eurozone............

Quote:again. .... you and godwins law! BREAKING NEWS!!! nazi germany has seized to exist 68 years ago!

I hate this made-up concept godwin's law it's not used to reference someone who call things like banning smoking indoors or a public subsidy for private healthcare, "nazism", but you'll notice there's no left wing version of godwin's law, it was mainly created to silence right wing opponents. It's the old "I'm not racist!.... I just don't believe in interracial marraige!!!" schtick

Quote:and i never claimed that i wanted to nuke all of syria. i just stated that it is the west own fault that salafists are taking over, because of their inaction

If you thinks it's a good idea to nuke all the middle east and start over with a "good"" christian populace and burn all the world's quran's your probably also very worried about islamic salfism "taking over"....... whatever the fuck that's suppose to mean

Quote:why? wouldn`t it then be more likely that putin drops bombs on northern syria to end the FSA?
naaaaa
