Here is a link to a great blog post that absolutely destroys a specific claim made by the ID crowd. It comes complete with a link to a peer reviewed paper that shows the claim to be false.
In his book Edge of Evolution: The Search for the Limits of Darwinism ID proponent Michael Behe makes the claim that it is impossible for four mutations in a gene to result in an improved protein. He even gives examples to lend evidence to his claim. Unfortunately for Behe the results of a study released in the paper Darwinian Evolution on a Chip show Behe’s claims to be false. Not only does this paper gives an example of 4 mutations that together lead to an improvement, but one of the mutations by itself would be detrimental to the resulting proteins. The later being the essence of Behe's argument to begin with.
Kudos to Summer for linking this blog in her "GMO causes cancer" thread.
