My Irish friend is teaching me pidgin Gaelic, ungodlyfossil amuses himself by teaching me German vocabulary, and for a long time, espressofrog was writing to me exclusively in French to encourage me to practice with my school-girl grammar. It got to the point that when writing him in English even, I was phrasing things in a rather archaic and odd way because my mind was thinking "French," not English.

I don't bust anyone for language - I'm quite aware of my own limits and what people go through to communicate with me.

Thats great! I speak some languages myself. German, little bit of French, English, Frisian and a bit of Spanish. This is not because I love to learn languages by the way! I've really had enough of learing them. But I had to for my school. But keep it up! I've found that it really helps you when you want to learn another language because there are more similarities to be found.

I think my delving is because I'm a masochist, personally, but I do enjoy languages. fossil taught me how sexy German could sound, and frog taught me how silly French could be - it all interests me.

I'd settle for being happy as fuck right about now.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'
