Most of what they say is often completely irrelevant to the argument. I often quote those parts and merely question their relevance. Then they tend to be left with a couple of lines that are relevant but obviously wrong and I point out why.

That is why most of the time, I find it obsolete to waste time thinking a response to them. Better to try to make a joke. 
I amuse myself by sending a few of the crazier ones over to FSTDT.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

I took a 4 or 5 month break from forums myself, and it's good to do that. No reason to dwell on religion and atheism all the time. But I hope you come back and say hi once in a while!!
