Nice definition. However, in the real world that doesn't happen.

However, one who values this kind of journalism will find ways to find and read such.

Quote:Some are blaming Romney.

My prediction is that they will come down to consensus on this. That way they can maintain the fiction that their "message" was wonderful but that they appointed the wrong "messenger." Facts don't penetrate the bubble easily.

Yeah, that video looks pretty accurate.

Back in the Clinton presidency, yeah, the Republicans were biased enough to impeach him over trumped up garbage, but at least they were willing to work with him on policy. I can even say the Republicans were able to be reasonable when Dubya was elected in 2000 (he was even willing to make a compromise on stem cell research). Then 9/11 happened and the entire party took a hard right and hasn't stopped since. The reason the party is endangering itself now is because, when they take a hit like this last election, instead of adopting more moderate positions they do the opposite: purge more and more moderate thought from the party in the name of ideological purity. Thing is, if you throw too many people out of your party, you're going to be sitting there in the party, all by your lonesome and wondering wher all your friends went. Right now, that's their challenge. They have to do the opposite of what they've been doing all those years and start to reach out to groups that they usually wouldn't welcome within the GOP. They tried reaching out to black voters when they made Herman Cain into a big name, but he was such an idiot that I have to imagine there are a lot of black people insulted by being associated with him. Marco Rubio might be a much better attempt to reach out to hispanic voters and as long as they don't alienate even more people between now and 2016, he could become our next president.

That being said, 4 years is a long time in politics. Things can change fast. I still remember all those pundits saying Cain, Bachmann, Santorum or Perry would win the nomination.

The only reason one of them didn't is because there were so many of them fracturing the nutbag vote that they allowed Romney to gain momentum. If you had one tea bagging moron against Romney from the start there is no way in hell Romney gets the nod.

Is it possible? I have never seen such reportage.

Please, give some examples of media, liberal or not, that provide "the presentation of facts, not opinions".

There are no news stations

I don't understand, are you saying they aren't liberal, or they aren't really media?

They focus on the 2016 election just like they focused on the 2008 election. They knew they elected a stinker in 2004 and they know they did the same again so they're looking forward to change.

look at the debt ceiling debate, this is the equivalent of debating whether coal is less polluting, than oil, one might be better, but neither is renewable energy. it's a right wing talking point.

it's about ratings nothing else, information is boring, uncontroversial, therefore it's not news. However sex scandals that should be in the tabloids are their "top story". War, enviromentalism, labor unions, anything remotely considered left wing is deleted to make room for more advertisements
