But you're right -- advice != banning.

However, given the timing of it, without the subsequent outrage against the rapists, makes the institution seem more concerned to avoid being in the news than looking out for their own ( to which advice is often given and welcomed as opposed to covering ones ass.).

Somehow our sense of tolerance has gotten so warped and twisted that we are willing to throw out all our values to appease a culture that itself is one of the most intolerant things ever. I think this comes from the self-reflective and extremely self-critical way that we teach history. We've made ourselves into the bad guys in a historical sense, therefore our whole psyche has come to view ourselves as deserving bad things that happen. We deserve 9/11 because we have bases in Saudi Arabia, we deserve our Embassy being bombed because of a movie, we provoked it, we are evil.

Terrorism is the wrong answer to the right question, keep in mind nobody deserves to die, along with the hundreds of thousands civilian's killed in Afghanistan and Iraq. But should somebody be killed for killing innocent people, yes. It's a no win situation blood will only beget more blood and so goes the endless cycle. You can't let your government rape the world and then say well it wasn't me, because the government represents you.
