I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. Improbably =/= impossible.
With infinite chances, it would also be a certainty. RE: Would you be an atheist if science and reason wasn't supportive of atheism?

Or is this one of those 'so unlikely we shouldn't even consider it' things? You are currently experiencing a lucky and very brief window of awareness, sandwiched in between two periods of timeless and utter nothingness. So why not make the most of it, and stop wasting your life away trying to convince other people that there is something else? The reality is obvious.

Now that's improbable to an unimaginable degree, but is it impossible? Probably not, given enough time. No matter how long the odds, forever is longer! Mind you I'm not sure if you could say that is is certain that you could flip 18 billion trillion heads in a row if you had unlimited time?

It's hard to imagine being dead for infinity - both before your life and after. It's hard to imagine going to heaven for infinity, that's actually scary - dunno where xtians find the attraction. Being dead for eternity is surely the better option as you won't be aware of the infinite time elapsing. Whoops went off on a tangent there, but the concept of infinity boggles my mind every time.
