The "wedding of the century" .... Weeeeeeeell

RE: The "wedding of the century" .... Weeeeeeeell
Congrats you two, and beautiful pics by the way, hopefully after 2015 I can also tie the knot with the man of my dreams.
"Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by the rulers as useful" - Edward Gibbon (Offen misattributed to Lucius Annaeus Seneca or Seneca the Younger) (Thanks to apophenia for the correction)
'I am driven by two main philosophies:
Know more about the world than I knew yesterday and lessen the suffering of others. You'd be surprised how far that gets you' - Neil deGrasse Tyson

If you're not supposed to ride faster than your guardian angel can fly then mine had better get a bloody SR-71.

Sweet Kichi, people from Oz do not know what cold is (greetings from a -17°C Finland with lots of snow!)

But 'Grattis!' or 'Onnittelut!', you and Badger look like such a wonderful and happy (and bad-ass!) couple Heart

Was speaking to beloved daughter last night regarding Finland and Helsinki (during her grand sneer of europe). She is under the impression that there are very few immigrants there
Quote: ...I never saw an asian or middle eastern person in my whole time there mum. The place is very underpopulated compared to other european cities

As for cold... well Perth Western Australia IS touted as being the sunniest place in Australia, and it IS a bit unusual to be wearing Ugg Boots and fur jacket in November/ December here Tongue

Somehow wouldn't mind experiencing 6 months of snow and -17 degrees C at least once in my life; better than intense heat

I agree with you. Give me some cold over spirit-wilting heat and humidity any day.

Erm...no. I live in a place that feels like soup for 6 months of the year. I still wouldn't move somewhere colder. I like that in december I don't have the heater on but I'm naked in bed right now and it feels balmy in the house.

Ditto

As I have always pointed out... "With the cold you can always try to get warmer and succeed; with the heat,, once you are naked and immersed in water there is no further escape."

Off topic...

That weather system that brought the "winter blast" to Perth went on to give New Zealand a big hello in the form of a tornado in Auckland.
