Dawkins and Hitchens both helped me to realize what I think about religion. Also it was funny watching them demolish Creationists in debates hahaha

Richard Dawkins is prominent Atheist. He has written many books, including The Selfish Gene, and The God Delusion. Having read both, I believe he is quite a good author.

I think hes a great guy with some great opinions, i havent heard him say anything illogical in my opinion.
But hes bound to be hated by some atheists just because of his over exposure in mainstream media, if atheism was music dawkins would be pop music and no one likes to admit to liking pop music. Theists obviously REALLY fucking hate him, ive been on muslim websites and its FULL of stuff like "The kafir unbelievers of the west have their dawkins, linking us to monkeys" I havent heard him say anything illogical but im almost 100 percent sure he has, its not like dawkins is the atheist god and we believe anything he says has to be totally accurate. Also he has two whole groups of religions, christians and muslims out there listening to every word he says to pick out a mistake so im sure they have found some, in fact i was just on a muslim forum now, and all the videos they had as links for refuting evolution and dawkins were christian ones, it really is an unholy alliance. But he seems to be a pretty good public speaker well spoken and not shy and seems pretty well equiped with knowledge and intelligence to make the arguments from a valid viewpoint. Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. i was just on youtube and i remembered some videos i watched ages ago of dawkins getting supposedly owned, but these are the only ones ive seen, and they are complete failures at trying to own dawkins, maybe there are more out there but like i said he seems to know what he is talking about to me.

I'm a theist, and I LOVE Dawkins. Dawkins and Hitchens are brilliantly fun to watch in a debate.
The God Delusion was a great read, even if I don't agree with all his conclusions. Hitchens is also quite worthy of reading (and not just his atheist stuff, his book on Thomas Jefferson is great.)
