Possible Motive Emerges In The Connecticut Shooting

RE: Possible Motive Emerges In The Connecticut Shooting
Actually Shell the evidence would suggest they wanted the people to be as well armed as the regular army. [/quote]

Of course they did. The whole point of that amendment is so that the government could be overthrown if it got too oppressive (as they did with the UK government).

Not so Tongue Other drugs are simply banned. There are immensely more regulations put towards purchasing alcohol legally Big Grin I'll note in particular that bootlegged alcohol is still quite common in Alaska Native villages. Thinking

Or we could ban it, like we did during the prohibition era Tiny Tiger That certainly was effective at reducing the usage of and deaths relating to alcohol Heart

Quote:" Note: this does not mean they are somehow not responsible for their actions while drunk... but very few people assume they have a chance of killing someone while they are intoxicated."...correct...they bear the responsibility for their actions...whether or not they intended to kill someone, they were still aware of the potential consequences before they decided to get drunk...they're not absolved of guilt in anyway...

Weren't you listening? People are not remotely aware of what they might do under the influence of a "class 4 narcotic" XD I'd bet most of them drink without even considering the completely unknowable possible consequences to their drinking. Hence we have people waking up next to newly pregnant cows they've never seen in their lives, without remembering what they did the night before and a baseball bat with glass splinters embedded into it in their corner, and with untold damages to their car which might as well have come from aliens Levitate

People also (as a rule) do not bear the responsibility for their actions. They blame all manners of things, from themselves, to alcohol, to other people, to the next door neighbor's dog and their evil children. Whatever guilt people may (or may not!) feel is utterly irrelevant as to whether or not they are responsible (or taking responsibility). Listen next time Tongue

The black market I suppose, since they're not legally available, but have you tried offering the military-industry complex a few miillion dollars?
