Halal meat: is it truly better for you?
December 19, 2012 at 7:41 pm
I have a Question:
Is halal meat scientifically proven (by secular scientists) to be healthier/better for you?
And either way please post evidence and must be from a secular unbiased source.

There is nothing in the halal process of killing animals that specifically makes it more healthy.
Unless otherwise stated, the animal is not raised any differently than average supermarket animal. The only difference is the method of killing the animal.
Maybe a case could be made that since the meat is not allowed to come into contact with other food or equipment, that it may have less of a chance of being contaminated with bacteria. But no study has born this out.
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

'Secular unbiased source'???? What the fuck does this mean?
You do understand that halal only specifies the method of death for non-pig animal nutrition, right? Namely, that one must slit the throat of the goat, cow, horse, or other herbivore. The after death butchering is the same. Slit its throat/use hydraulics to shove a spear through its head...all the same to me as long as I get steak/shoulder roasts/ribs and bacon.
Halal and kosher; there's nothing that proves god more than the creator of the universe being preoccupied with what we shove in our pie hole.
Well a source that does not come from a exclusivity single religious source, like a Muslim Uni, and is put though peer review.

Ahh but Cato you MUST forgive him! After all, he had a vexing preoccupation with a bunch of dirty unwashed desert-wandering orthodox jews for a couple thousand years! You, too, would be driven insane to the point of an intense OCD involving food preparation and other matters if you were an omnipotent god focusing all your attention a bunch of murderous bloodthirsty ass-backwards desert savages! Or maybe you wouldn't...since, you know, you were god and there were a lot more interesting things out there than their debates on whether or not a woman's PMS was a "crude, foul thing" that made women abhorrent to the "superior male sight."
Fuck the abrahamic religions are retarded.
