Because he just made a very ambiguous response guaranteed to piss someone off and he'll ROFL thinking he got someone's goat.
So he's trolling, but he's doing a terrible job of it? Gotcha, Boss-Lady. /salute
I asked my wife, and she took my last name. She was happy to do it, because my last name is dignified and awesome, while hers was kind of goofy.

Any woman would have to beg by my awesome knees to become my partner... J/K
Anyway, never had the luxury of such, that is usually for some rich guy/ sport star thinguie. You know, evolution at work. For us common humans its just get your heart out and propose.
John is a big buttsecks havin' Christian who doesn't know how to properly troll.
Awww, he can't help that he doesn't have as much confidence in himself as Capn.

I have mixed feelings about this one. I despise arbritrary gender roles and this is undoubtedly one of them. There's nothing wrong with women asking men to marry them. In fact, I applaud women who are willing to do it and I applaud the men who are ok with it as well. However, as for me, personally, I still envision the day when my boyfriend gets down on one knee and asks me to marry him. That being said, until he comes out to his family, we don't see a wedding between he two of us. Not hat he's ashamed of me or anything, but he loves his family and he's terrified what they'll do when he does come out. So I guess I'm one of those hypocrites who says "Go for it!" with everyone else, but when it comes to myself I say "No way, Jose!" As for last names, we have quite a bit of complicated emotional garbage on both sides. Neither one of us is too terribly attached to our last names (although his is decidedly more common than mine).
