Hey, thought I would say hello, been poking around for a while reading and figured I could join in.
My name is Avicenna and hinduism is the religion I don't believe in. Oh and I am from the UK.
I am also an atheist involved in charity work, I am on clinical rotations in India providing healthcare for free.
What difference does it make to be an atheist of 999,999 gods rather than a 1,000,000?

I thought an atheist was someone who simply didn't believe in any god... not just a few.

I figured it was a tongue in cheek way to point out that I am an ex-hindu. It's like the old Irish joke... I don't care if you are an atheist, what I worry about is whether you are a Protestant Atheist or a Catholic one.

Hello and welcome to AF! ^_^
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura
