Can make a new thread about it to respond so as not to derail this one (it's already a trainwreck as it is, gettit?), but FREUDIAN? Really?
Yeah, I was suprised nobody mentioned that before this post.
I don't think anybody identifies themselves as...Freudian.

Churchgoers got quite a scare at Pinelake Church in Rankin County Sunday morning.
Flowood Police say a man's gun accidentally discharged as he was sitting down.
"Here in Mississippi, open gun laws. People don't understand that you don't need to bring it in churches and stuff," says church member, Benny Hubbard.
Officers took Joseph Edgar Ray into custody. He was in possession of a 9mm handgun.
According to police, Ray's gun was in his front right pocket and went off as he sat down.
At least he didn't hit anybody.
Just part of the national gun toll for the week. And the beat goes on.

"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

That guns in the wrong hands are bad, clearly, but with the laws in place protecting any nutjob who wants to get a gun these types of tragedies are to be expected.
Unless gun fondlers stop being ignorant and realize we need stricter gun laws.

I lol'd so hard at your comment.
Chicago has the strictest gun laws in the nation. They also have the highest murder rate in the nation. That is no coincidence. Gun control laws don't stop bad people from getting guns. All they do is disarm the good people who have guns, which means they are unable to defend themselves against the bad people who have guns.

I wonder if one looks at the statistics, one might conclude that the majority of murders are not gun related.

You are injecting the false claim that stricter gun laws implies taking guns away from responsible citizens. Do not be so ignorant. Stricter gun laws need to be enacted to prevent nutjob gun fondlers from being able to easily obtain guns through lawful measures.
Of course, if I had my way, all guns would be banned.
The comment guns don't kill people is an ignorant statement, after all. If guns do not kill people, why not take guns away from soldiers and just send the men to war without weapons.

Yeah...because the wild wild west was the good ol' days.
Ever wonder why in rope operas you would often see a 'Check your irons here' sign? I gurandamtee it wasn't because the sheriff was lonely.
