Now, while you mull over that conundrum, please explain why registration is detrimental. Should we stop registering cars? Pets? Should it be mandatory, a choice, nothing? What and why?

That wasn't my question. All I said was that it seems to be a hot-button issue, and I'm trying to find out why. Aside from the typical "It's unnecessary cause 'Murica'" response that seem to be your only ammo, I want to know why it's such a horrible thing. Shifting the question on to me won't get this discussion any further, as I've already admitted not to even have further information. Or...I'm just asking the wrong individuals.
