6. 114 of the quran says nothing is left out of the quran. also 6.38 12. 111 and 16.89
Is the sunnah part of the quran? No therefore its basically not revelevant. If the quran is already complete then why does it need additional texts?
i already said i dont want to discuss anything apart from the fundamental texts of islam, which are all in the quran.
I already provided 6 translations of the quran which say a husband can beat his wife at the start of this thread
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.

Response: For starters, islam is the teachings of the Qur'an and sunnah. So stating that you want to address something about islam by only referring to the Qur'an does not make any sense because to get the full answer, one must also refer to the sunnah.
Secondly, no where in verse 6:114 does it say that nothing is left out of the Qur'an. It says the Qur'an is fully explained and is true. Based on that very meaning, the sunnah is to be followed, as the Qur'an clearly says to do so in verse 4:59.
As for the translations of wife beating, no one disputes wife beating. However, as both the Qur'an and sunnah shows, there is nothing wrong with it, as the discipline is made by using a light tap that leaves no pain or scars. With that said, the usual objection by non-Muslims is that it's still wrong because no one likes to be hit. To that I say then, that you should help to free every prisoner from jail. Why? Because they don't like it. Anyone can see the absurdity. It's a punishment. It's not supposed to be liked. Once again, Islam is still established as a just religion.

Quote:As for hitting the wife, verse 34 does allow hitting the wife as a disciplinary act by the husband if she disobeys
Well then fuck the koran and your fucking prophet.

What is the point of putting in the quran the wife beating part if it does not hurt. Is the wife going to change her ways because you gave a light tap that has no pain? If you say yes it must be a magic light touch because otherwise talking would instead be sufficient. Your excuses are bullshit.

Well allright (by your interpretation) men are not allowed to beat their wife....but adult men are allowed to marry nine year old girls ( (by your interpretation) and now let's not pretend that's not an act of violence (by my interpretation).
