Firefox can't connect to the forum today

For some strange reason, my firefox is refusing to connect to this forum.
I'm now on chrome.
I've tried all the stuff the mozilla guys suggest here:

But to no avail.
Everything works, except this one site in particular: atheistforums.org.... the .com works.

It wasn't happening when I first turned the PC on this morning (@ ~10h GMT). Then I started getting "Unable to connect" errors in firefox. I thought the admins were up to something, or it was being under a DoS attack or something... anyway, had to work, didn't care too much.
Took the opportunity to check if there was a new version of firefox... there was! updated to FF18, but the problem persisted.

Then I got home and the forum worked on the phone.... but refused to work on the laptop's firefox. On the laptop, the site works on chrome, but not on FF....
Firewall off - still no go.
Anti-virus off - no go.
FF in safe mode - no go.
FF after clearing cache, cookies and almost everything (except passwords) - no go.

Something fishy is going on.

You are probably going to https://atheistforums.org.

We have had an issue with SSL, so I have disabled it. Please try: http://atheistforums.org instead.

Ah, Tib, I was just going to say that!
Wireshark showed me that something was wrong with the https request.
Removed the 's' and it works!
Back on firefox.

Please do let us (ME!!!!) know when you have the https up and running again!
I hate using a http protocol when I'm on a relatively open wi-fi network, which is the one we have at work.

I am having login trouble with Firefox myself (actually, the Waterfox variant; I'm using Chrome at the moment). When I attempt to login correctly, I am simply returned to the homescreen without being logged in (there are no error messages or anything indicating the nature of the problem). Intentionally using an incorrect password gives me the standard rejection screen.
