I do wish this bloke had a different name. Every time I see it mentioned anywhere, my brain autocorrects it to Benny Hill. To the best of my knowledge, the closest he ever got to faith healing was slapping old Jackie Wright's bald head.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

I know exactly what you mean. The seventies was a great place to be growing up as a young lad; Jimmy Savile notwithstanding.
Re: the thread topic - Not sure where I got this from, I can't claim it as mine in case someone digs up the source, but it's the best advice I ever found for handling faith healers. Basically, go up on stage with some minor ailment, then when he touches you, immediately clap your hands over your face and scream that you've gone blind. If he touches you again, drop to your knees and scream that you can't feel your legs. There probably won't be a third attempt.
