I haven't seen it, but I am sort of excited. Meanwhile, or in a few minutes, I watch this short film 'coward'.

Quote:"COWARD" is a 28 minute film set during World War 1 that brings to light some of the brutal treatment soldiers received for suffering what would now be known as shell-shock. It follows two cousins, Andrew and James, from their home in Northern Ireland who join the British Army to fight for their Country and make their families proud. Through their eyes we see the reality of life on the front lines.

I hope Fritz speaks German and Tommy English.

For perspective, an interview with Jamie Foxx:

Germans, learn to use the Y, instead of the J.
yet =/= jet

I know they sound the same in German, but not so in English.

Rant over, carry on!

I saw it last night funnily enough. I liked it, twas good, didn't think it was one of Tarantino's best though.

Christoph Waltz and Di Caprio were immense.

I actually thought Di Caprio and Samuel L Jackson were the best actors, given the characters they had to play. Waltz is great, of course, but I preferred him as Hans Landa. I thought Jamie Foxx was good as well, especially towards the end.

Surely the film would show democrats being bastards, not so much the republicans?

I was a little surprised to see Samuel Jackson playing the role he did. He's usually the bad-ass, but in this movie he was anything but.

On another level, did anyone else notice that the movie was kinda centered around a dentst in conflict with Candi?

Also, I think the following is more true in Django than any of Tarantino's other movies:

I thought his performance for this character was scarily good though in fairness. I think his character was the ultimate villain in the film, maybe more so than Calvin Candi.
