You mean that you don't like being argued with but just want people to listen to what you have to say. Sounds like preaching to me.

God is gonna raise you incorruptible. In the end you will have been changed from what you are not to what your gonna be. Believe it or not. Matters none to me. And their was an atheist who read Ray's website and is no longer an atheist. There is more than one atheist who changed after they knew the truth.

Ah yes, the old, "You're so closed minded" accusation implying that you aren't!

First of all the obvious ... YOU ARE NOT open-minded! You're about as closed minded an individual as I have ever had the displeasure to meet (though fortunately that meeting has been virtual rather than real). Secondly there is, as Dawkins said, being so open-minded your brains drop out ... in other words scepticism is the healthy way to look at things, it doesn't mean we can't accept things, it means we are not going to accept something just because you and some mouldy old 20000 year old book says so. Thirdly you come into a forum of atheist, atheists who are, by-and-large, rational people who support their view of the universe based on a rational interpretation of the universe around them as they are mostly humanist, they were also mostly once Christian (been there, done that, stayed so long they bought property) and ceased to be so because of their rational view of the universe .. yet you come along and you say doctors are pointless and that your stupid book of myth is right!

I mean just how stupid are you?

Im not here to cause anyone to belive in God. If you dont then so be it. I came for the ones that do not quetsion his existance but walked away becuase of false teachings. Alnd they do exist. If it isnt you then im obviosuly not looking for you.
You came to an atheist forum looking for people who do not question God's existence but walked away from religion because of false teachings?

The word "atheist" means someone who does not believe in gods, so your first requirement fails miserably with about 95% of the population here. Of the other 5%, they are a mixture of Christians and Muslims; I'm not sure you'll find anyone who has "walked away from religion" there.

Kitten, don't take it too personally. You don't realize how often we have heard the same story, over and over and over again from believers who refuse to look at any evidence and use a little common sense when it comes to the Bible or for that matter a "god".

I'll say it again..It's one thing to believe in a "Higher Power/Creator" of some sort...But to try and narrow that down by a religion which tells you theirs is the correct one and everyone else has it wrong, is a joke, and in all honesty people should be outraged over it. Just for the pure fact of it being an insult to someones intelligence, (That is, if that person is actually rational or has a bit of common sense to them).

Religious people (Includes, Christians, Islam, Judean) all declare theirs to be the holiest of holy, and literally define any other as blasphemy and/or simply wrong. It's absolutely ludicrous and mere stupidity for any sect to declare this.

Your evidence for what you believe is within your own self and observation of others who believe the same as you do. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but still does not make your faith and belief any more factual than what the Greek, Nords and Indians believed a few thousand years ago.
It just simply makes it your faith and belief.

My issue (And many others the same) is when people take their faith and belief and try and force it on others or have laws changed to suit their sect, regardless of what others think or do not believe in.

I believe you stated you were from Louisiana...Well, same here, and our state is a prime example of stupidity taking over in trying to force faith based opinions on our children in the classrooms. I am fed up with religious groups forcing their rose covered vomit on our children, and hiding behind a plagiarized fairy tale book when actions are taken and responsibility is ignored.
Intelligence is the only true moral guide...

Just becuase one does not believe in God does not mean he doesn't exist. I cant say that enough. I came to talk to the ones who do believe in God but walked away due to retarded teachings about hell. If you are not one of those then we need not be talking to each other to begin with. I didnt come to talk to the ones that dont believe at all, I came for the ones that do but walked away. So if you are not in that category then im obviously not talking to you. For those who dont wnat to believe......then dont. Its not you im hunting. I dont understnad what is so compicated to understand in that. But instead some make it all about them and through rude, childish comments up needlessly. Their attitudes make no sense to me. I will say it agian for those who have not caught on yet. If you dont believe in God then its not you im looking for. very easy to understnad I would think. Dont believe and keep your rude comments to yoruself. Its just that simple.
