Kittenshere Continue thread

RE: Kittenshere Continue thread
As I've said before, you won't find any of the people you are looking for here. This is an atheist forum. With the exception of a few Christians and Muslims, nobody believes in God.

If you want to talk about god, etc then we are very happy to do so. If you only want to talk to certain people (especially if those certain people are not atheists) then you are not welcome here. You are not going to use our atheist forum to talk to theists only; that isn't the point of it's existence.

Let me ponder on this for a minute. Do you honestly think rude, ignorant, name calling responses is called carrying on a converstation? Last time I checked it wasn't considered a conversation. I think maybe you should instead of threatening to ban me you should teach the posters what a conversation is. You can start with admin named kyuu

You will find a lot of people here (including Darwinian & myself) who do not name-call or act in a rude way unless the situation deserves such a reaction. I daresay in your case that you have brought it upon yourself; namely by refusing to talk to anyone and repeating your mantra of "I only want to speak to believers".

We manage to have decent conversations with many theists on this site, but then they (mostly) play by the rules. If you want to do this, we will be very welcoming to you. However, currently as it stands, you come across as someone who just wants to use our forum for your own agenda.

Well a conversation cannot be carried with only one. it requires two or more. rude comments in not conversation. I talk to the ones who want to talk but I canot talk to someoene that is unwilling. Some here are not mean and nasty but there are those that are and without reason to boot. If some dont want to talk then they also need not throw rude comments out.

Well I've just told you that there are people willing to talk to you (both myself and Darwinian, as well as others). If you want to talk about atheism or god then you are welcome to with us.

I'll talk with anyone who wants to. Im not picky.

People want to say there is no God because people cannot see him, touch him, smell him or anyting else. Well that doesnt mean he doesnt exist. For example I could say I have not seen your brain, cannot touch your brain, cannot smell your brain or anyting else but it does not mean you dont have one. Just as a machine can show me your brain, God can prove he exist by miracles. Miracles none the less that people here would consider a miracle not of God. Well I could see your brain on a computer at a hospital and say that isnt a brain it looks likea pile of goo to me lol.

Point being just becuase it cannot be seen with the naked eye, you cant smell it, you cant taste it, you cant touch it does not mean it doesn't exist.

take piosion for example, there are poisions that cannot be seen on food, or tasted assuming the food is fine will not prevent your getting sick from it.

How do miracles prove the existence of gods? Surely "miracles" (if they ever happen under testable conditions) simply reveal to us that there are parts of nature that we do not yet understand.

Well if you were ate up with cancer and you went to doctor for a second visit and no cancer existed. It's all gone...where would you think it went? Cancer does not leave on its own. there are people that this has happend to. If God didnt do it, who or what did? If there is no explanation then it apprantly came from a higher source than this world.

Here is an example about how just becuase you cant see something does not mean it dont exist. there are poisions that cannot be seen on food, tasted, or smelled BUT assuming the food is fine will not prevent your getting sick from it

This is both an illogical conclusion and a statement from personal incredulity. It is illogical because you first state that there is no explanation, and the go on to try and give it an explanation. Things that are unexplainable do not have explanations (by definition).

Just because you cannot think of a way that it could have happened without God doing something, does not mean God did something.

There have been documented cases of cancer disappearing spontaneously. A book published by William Boyd in 1961 estimated that 1 in 100,000 cases have spontaneous remission. This number could well be interpreted as a "miracle", but given that miracles by their definition defy the natural order of things, it should first be concluded that spontaneous remission isn't just another part of nature that we do not understand completely.

in other words, there is no human logic possible when it comes to things we cannot explain. It does not mean there is no higher force which caused what us humans cant find a logical answer for.

NOTHING IS SPONTANEOUS WITHOUT A CAUSE. For everything has a cause leaving the question as to what is the cause.
