It's how I roll, son.

He's still entertaining... I just really can't wait for him to 'die off' and see who the next doctor is. I couldn't get interested in any of his episodes Undecided

Most definitely, of course and absolutely, in reverse order. Eccles was just the cherry on top. Looking back I can see just how subtle his performance was, with flashes of earlier Doctors, Hartnell especially, occasionally peeping through. Tennant was ok but his material was crap - someone on another forum said that DT would make a good Doctor and it's a shame he wasn't allowed to (this during his time in the role). Matt "The Kid" - ugh. Sorry, but I have no objection to him and producer Moffatt making a sub-CBeebies pantomime, if that's what they want to do. Just don't go calling it Doctor Who.

Oh, and by the way: 5000 posts! Yay!

* Nine shrugs.

Tennant was immediately great. I didn't think they could beat Eccleston I was wrong. I still think Smith is a great Doctor but its hard to follow on from the last two. Seems like a lot of people never really gave him a chance though. I like all of them. I don't really have a favorite.

@Stimbo grats on the 5000.

Despite my reaction earlier, it's not Smith specifically. There's a lot of people who make these things happen, the lead actor is merely the public face. I just think Moffatt at his best is like Russell T Davies at his worst (and he could churn out some real clunkers, be honest). All that guff about prophecies, comedy Sontarans, destroying fairytale monsters with the power of love (and not the Huey Lewis kind) - I mean, really!

I'm with Stimbo here... it's the whole production that's suffered, the presentation alone does not stop me watching Dr. Who Tongue

I don't really know if I should come out or not. There's also the problem that my girlfriend is pretty religious. So yeah. Anyways, I'm socially awkward, into video games, and obviously love to play trombone. I'm probably going to be posting a fair amount on this forum since I have no one to talk to about my beliefs in real life. So Hi!

Hello! I live in a pretty religious place, so I totally understand you. Nice to meet you!

Haha this thread has gotten pretty off topic. For those of you talking about me "deciding" to be an Atheist, I guess I always was, but now I've officially told myself that I don't believe in God. And hello fellow Southerners
"I trust my own reason and my own capacities to think and educate myself and to reach greater levels of knowlege and status through learning and work. To me, wishing for a god is like wishing to be a slave, it is like declaring that one is too incompetent to handle one's own affairs." - the germans are coming

Welcome! It's interesting to hear how scared people in some parts of the US are of admitting atheism who are from Christian backgrounds. I feel it's sad and consider myself lucky here in the UK I was brought up in a Church of England school yet religion here some kids will just grow up and change a box on your high school form to no religion and that's that. There's less concern.

I also do feel lucky to live in such a liberal state (NY). Pretty much everyone is welcomed over here....just don't go too far south into the Bronx.

Ah Tennessee. Went on vacation there over a decade ago. Didn't seem too backward, but then again- I was a child then and I didn't look for telltale signs of extreme religiosity.
