How exactly do you suppose a man should attempt to gain the upper hand and how do you suppose it will help any situation for one member of a couple to assert dominance over the other?
I mean practical situations, pervs. 
I don't know why there is a backlash for my post. Don't you guys believe in equal rights for Man and Women? I clearly mentioned that Women are not second class citizens. But on the same note, Man have been authorized by God to act as the head of the family.

Mister Sir Shell B, Man should never attempt to get an upperhand, merely exercise their God given rights to act as the protector and head of the family. That means that if an intruder breaks into the house, the Man is the one who should confront the intruder and not let the Women face the danger. In simple terms, the Man is the protector. I honestly can't even imagine the situation arising in the relationship my sweet Sam and I had. Even the thought of us being anything other than a truly equal partnership would have been the most unnatural thing in the world. Yes, there were times when one or the other of us would take the dominant role, for purely practical reasons, and I would always do gentlemanly things like hold doors open for her to go through first etc - which she often protested by the way, as she felt it made me out to be submissive; but in the main we were of one mind, cast a single shadow.
