Oh thank gawd! Finally a break from all the bible quotes. Ever see one of those old Charlie Brown television specials? Whenever an adult is speaking all the viewer hears is "wah, wha, wha". Seeing bible quotes registers in exactly the same way when I read.
As to the OP .. does anyone really know that the Christian god is above conventional reason? Could it be that He just isn't very good at it? Someone should write a play or a novel about a real God. Super powerful, hecka old, poops galaxies .. the whole nine yards! But the catch: He has an I.Q. of about 75 and is prone to bouts of rage. Wait a minute .. did I just describe the god of the bible? Whoa!

So no-one can know anything about god or assign human like traits like good, compassionate, loving or jealous to it.
So all religions MUST be people just making stuff up.

A pretty large part of the Bible consists of god acting and reasoning in human terms. Which is understandable; when it was being written, this is how most societies conceived of their gods.
